Last year our Wedding of the Year competition was a huge success - readers from all over the region entered for their chance to be crowned with the title. So this year we've decided to run the competition again; only we've upped the ante with a fabulous two-night mini-break for two worth over £1,000.
How does it work?
Throughout the year, we'll be looking for couples whose Surrey-based weddings have taken place between October 2011 and September 2012.
Every issue we'll reveal the shortlisted couples, and readers can vote online for their favourite. The winner of each issue will go through to the final, which will be held in spring next year.
Any newlyweds can enter the competition: it doesn't matter whether the wedding was large or small; modest or spectacular. Remember, it's the readers who vote, and determine who ends up in the final - and ultimately who wins!
How to enter
If you'd like to put your wedding forward, simply click on 'I want to enter' link above, where you'll find a short entry form. Once you've filled in your details click 'submit' and, if your entry has been successful, a member of the team will contact you. It's as simple as that.
What’s the prize?
The overall winners will not only claim the all-important Wedding of the Year title, they'll also win a two night stay at Aviator Hotel in Farnborough.
The romantic weekend prize includes spending the first night on the boutique hotel's Greed package, where you will begin your evening with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot in your luxurious Sky Suite. Then you will move onto dinner in Aviator's private wine room.The tasting menu is five courses prepared by executive chef Andrew Donovan, and is served with a selection of wines. The winning couple will then go to the Sky Bar for a late cocktail or digestif, before returning to their room to find a candlelit turndown awaiting them.
A relaxing lie-in the next morning precedes a champagne breakfast, then couples can spend a leisurely day together.
The second evening is free to spend as you please - your candlelit turndown will again be waiting for you and the Sunday morning may be taken at a leisurely pace, with a late checkout at noon.Terms and conditions apply; dates are subject to availability.
